Three veterinary professionals who kept running into the same wall.

Dr. Jennifer Daly is a board-certified veterinary emergency and critical care specialist and the President of Critical Signal. She brings deep experience in intensive care, quality improvement, and building systems that turn concern into measurable change.

After earning her biology degree at the University of Central Florida and her DVM from Ross University, Dr. Daly completed a rotating internship, a critical care internship, and a three-year emergency and critical care residency at Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center. Her clinical work has included high-flow nasal oxygen research and advanced training in hemodialysis, plasma exchange, mononuclear cell collection, and hemoperfusion.

Working inside the ICU, Dr. Daly saw how often important signals were captured but not carried forward. She built early hospital review processes herself, using simple tools and persistence to turn reports into practical changes. Those experiences led her to found Critical Signal so organizations can capture signals quickly, connect the work that follows, and spend more energy on patients than on spreadsheets.

Dr. Erin Daniels is a board-certified veterinary emergency and critical care specialist and the Chief Medical Officer of Critical Signal. Her perspective comes from emergency medicine, postgraduate training, and years of building teams in high-stakes clinical environments.

She earned both her Bachelor of Animal Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from Louisiana State University, then completed a rotating internship in Chesapeake, Virginia, and a three-year emergency and critical care residency at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in Woburn, Massachusetts. She later spent a decade helping establish emergency and critical care specialty services in New Orleans while developing a robust training program for clinicians pursuing postgraduate education.

That work showed her how strongly outcomes depend on clarity, communication, and the systems surrounding clinical decisions. It also reinforced a core belief: punitive responses to mistakes make it harder for teams to learn. At Critical Signal, she helps shape a safer, more sustainable approach to patient safety, one built around structure, collaboration, and meaningful improvement rather than blame.

Alyssa Hoyle, CVT, is the Director of Clinical Education and Engagement at Critical Signal. As a critical care nurse and educator, she brings the frontline perspective of someone who knows that a safety strategy only matters if it reaches the people doing the work.

She earned bachelor's degrees in psychology and communications from Florida Southern College and later completed her veterinary technology training at Heritage Institute in 2017. Her early experience included work in animal welfare, pet care, and communications, and since becoming credentialed she has focused her career on staff education, patient advocacy, and team development.

Working alongside medical directors, specialists, and hospital leadership, Alyssa has seen how difficult it can be for good intentions to become daily practice. That experience shapes her role at Critical Signal, where she focuses on helping hospitals translate reporting and review into engagement, education, and shared learning at the floor level.
